​​Nutcracker In Studio Rehearsal:

Date: December 4th at 5:00pm

Location: Academy of Ballet Wauconda

All Cast member should plan to attend (except Angels)

Nutcracker Dress Rehearsal:

Date: December 5th from 5-8pm

Location: Wauconda High School

Angels will be released approx. 6:30pm and all other dancers will be released approx. 7:45pm

 

Nutcracker Perfromances:

Dates: December 6th @ 6:30pm, Dancers arrive @ 5:45pm

         December 7th @ 4:00pm, Dancer arrive @ 3:15pm

           December 8th @ 5:30pm, Dancers arrive @ 4:45pm

Location: Wauconda High School

 

Cast Party:

Date: December 7th approx. 6:00pm

Location: Brunch Cafe Fox River Grove

General Information:

  • ALL Dancers will wear pink tights and nude leotard under their costume

  • ALL Dancers will wear their hair in a classic high ballet bun (tutorial below)

  • Battle Scene and Russian dancers need Black Jazz Shoes

  • Party Scene dancers need to provide their own dolls

  • Angels, Mother Ginger, and Party Scene dancers need curly hairpieces

  • All electronics (phones, watches, iPads) should be left at home. ABW is not responsible for any lost or stolen property. 

ABW's annual Nutcracker production is a favorite amongst our dancers and community. For ages 3-18, interested dancers participate in our annual audition and are cast in various roles through out the show. Dancers are offered the opportunity to work with both our esteemed faculty, as well as, various guest artists. ALL dancers are required to be enrolled in at least one ballet class for the Fall semester.
